Hiring Production Supervisor at Oakland, NJ
(1st shift)

ND Industries, Inc. is now hiring a production supervisor for our Oakland, New Jersey processing plant.


Responsible for staff of 25 operators and oversight of numerous machines including set-up, troubleshooting and repair.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Daily start up and shut down of plant operations.
  2. Manage production schedule on a fluid basis.
  3. Enforce safety & quality policies and procedures.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, as needed.
  5. New hire training and cross training when necessary.
  6. Ensure efficiency of machine operations.
  7. Communicate employee concerns and requests to management.
  8. Develop and implement various continuous improvement ideas.
  9. Monitor inventory, maintain first in first out.
  10. Keep lines of communications open within organization.

Familiar with calipers, Zahn cup, wrenches, gauges and forklift.


Ability to interact well with coworkers and create and ensure a positive atmosphere and good working conditions across all departments. Must be adept with measurements, fractions and detailed instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude is required. Flexibility in multitasking and prioritizing hot jobs and adjust schedule and personnel, as needed.

  • Language Ability: Ability to read and write English.
    To read and interpret documents such as shop travelers, blueprints and customer’s unique instructions.
  • Math Ability: Capable of identifying and sizing all types of fasteners including size, length and material type.

Educational requirements: 

High school diploma or equivalent.
